Please join us this Summer at Martos Gallery for EBSPLOITATION. This exhibition is inspired by Blaxploitation, which provided black audiences with cinematic heroes and was considered at the time as a more honest or accurate portrayal of black realities than those depicted in most Hollywood pictures.
For EBSPLOITATION, Martos Gallery will transform into a movie theater and present a program of short films and videos that show a different side to filmmaking. The curated program will run daily during gallery hours.
We will also host weekly screenings of longer and feature length films, every Wednesday night at 8pm.
